The term mental depression brings fear to those who hear it. When you infuse the word mental into any illness it encourages some to believe that one has lost their mind. It's not the case. There is stress in relationships, stress at work and stress about the ability to provide for your family. Stress might come from the death of a loved one. Mental depression is even carried in DNA. Many things cause depression. But there are many treatments too. Psychotherapy in which people discuss their problems is effective. Many medications and herbs also help.
